How it all began

How did a former corporate finance leader become a business strategist for entrepreneurs? That’s quite a transition, I know! Let me briefly explain how I got here.

After nearly twenty years in various corporate leadership roles, I decided to step away from my corporate job to take a break from the daily grind and focus on my family. My goal was to spend the summer enjoying carefree trips to the pool and midday matinees with my kids while I decompressed from two decades of climbing the corporate ladder.

Not knowing how to use all this free time, I decided to pursue a hobby during my break. I founded the women’s empowerment blog, Breakthrough Loading, as a way to connect with like-minded women while exploring my creative side. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the world of digital marketing and online business, and therefore change my career aspirations forever.

The more I learned, the more obsessed I became with learning as much as I possibly could about this dynamic business realm. Social media and email marketing, search engine optimization, content strategy … the list goes on and on, and I wanted to know it all. As I gained firsthand experience with these tactics and met other entrepreneurs with big dreams but little time, the vision for TRB Collaborative began to take form.
